This portrait was captured 5 minutes prior to James' military deployment in response to COVID-19.
Casey is Executive Director of Texas Dance Hall Preservation and James is a US Air Force Health Care Administrator, specializing in medical supply and facility logistics. Just a day prior to their portraits, he received orders to deploy to Task Force South East to help with the Air Force response to COVID-19. Only five minutes after these photos were taken, they were sending James off for his deployment.
We feel so lucky and honored to have been able to capture this bittersweet moment.
